Cobra Requirements

It has come to our attention that a high percentage of our customers do not use the “Automatic Windows Updates” option on their PC's and server. As a general rule we would always advise that you or your support company keep your equipment up to date otherwise your Microsoft operating system and Windows services may not being kept up to date. As GCGoldCOBRA uses state of the art Windows development tools, it does require the latest Windows Service Pack and the .Net Framework 4 to be installed in order to run.

It would be of great help if you would check that the following Windows Update routines have been carried out prior to your GCGoldCOBRA installation:

• All “Windows Service Packs” must be installed on any computer that will be running GCGoldCOBRA.

• If the computer is running a version of Windows that is older than Vista or Server 2008, then .Net Framework 4 must be installed through Windows Update, followed by any updates not already on your system. Please note that Windows 7 automatically comes with .Net Framework 4 but you may still need to apply the updates.

If you have an IT provider who looks after your IT infrastructure, please pass this request over to them as soon as possible. If you do not have a company who look after your IT, you will need to ensure these updates are performed yourself.
