Easy to manage, cheap to run  

The CHIPS system provides a revolutionary smart card management, printing and encoding system that resolves all the cliched time consuming problems associated with smart cards. We have also worked closely with our customers in developing highly effective ways to reduce card damage and loss by training pupils to treat the card as a valuable item and not a worthless bit of plastic.

In-house Card Production - Fast, low cost and hassle free

As usual, we will supply the initial batch of cards printed to your design,  personalised and encoded by us.  Schools have always struggled with the issue of producing replacement cards after this point by having to wait days for a bureau service or having to take the time and effort to produce another card for the pupil whilst disabling the old one. 

CHIPS resolves all the issues concerning card replacement by providing a one-click re-print service that automatically transfers the pupils allowances to the new card and disables the old card.  The process takes about 15 seconds and can also be used to produce temporary cards visitors.

Use PIN numbers to save time and effort? 

Although the CHIPS system can encode and print replacement cards within a matter of seconds, if this is still not fast enough, you can generate and allocate a temporary PIN number system in about a second.

When a pupil loses or damages a card, rather than waiting for a new card to be printed they are given a six digit number that can be presented to the canteen till operators and will give them access to their catering purse and any free meal allowance as if they had used their card.

Under normal circumstances, a PIN number will be set as valid for 24 hours until the new card can be collected but this period can be increased making it suitable for visitors staying for one or more days.
