Comps & Handicaps module ready
A number of new and upgraded features have been developed for golf clubs, club managers and their members:
Composite competitionsPrimarily a competitions and handicaps system, GCGoldCOBRA™ not only manages all handicapping details and all singles competitions, but now all your composite competitions (eg. competitions played on different dates with the best x scores from y cards) and eclectics.
New membership services via your club's website...
GCGoldCOBRA™ now provides members with real-time information via your club's own website, including:
- Handicap records and certificates
- Competition results
- Online competition entry and payment: with more members preferring to go online, GCGoldCOBRA™ not only facilitates competition entries, but now enables the deduction of competition entry fees from swipe and proximity card-based accounts.
- Members contact details: to help maintain as clean a membership database as possible, GCGoldCOBRA™ now lets members both amend their own contact details and/or publish them to their fellow members. They can also view contact details of those members who have also agreed to publish them.
- Enhanced scoring statistics: some golfers like to see how well they're doing, so the new GCGoldCOBRA™ provides members with a facility that allows them to enhance their scores with performance statistics, for example Fairways Hit, Greens in Regulation, etc. and therefore build up statistical data for their perusal and enjoyment.
- Automatic e-mails: GCGoldCOBRA™ sends out automatic branded emails using the Club's logo and branding, and does so at various milestones eg. when a member enters a competition or when his/her playing handicap changes.
- Centralised Database of Handicaps (CDH): the new GCGoldCOBRA™ system automatically synchronises with the appropriate CDH. The timing of the synchronisation(s) can be set to suit the Club.
The relationship between GCGold™ and GCGoldCOBRA™ for membership details
GCGold™ will remain the main Membership and subscriptions module, pending the release of the new Subscriptions module which is due for release later this year. Any changes made to members details in GCGold™ will be transferred automatically to the new GCGoldCOBRA™ software system.
